The Turkish press on Wednesday remembered famous Turkish Armenian actor Samuel Agop Ulucyan (Sami Hazinses), who died on this day 21 years ago.
Ulucyan was born in 1925 to an Armenian family living in Dicle district of Diyarbakir city. But then his family moved to the city’s Hancepek district, which was primarily inhabited by Armenians.
And after finishing school, Ulucyan moved to Istanbul, where his active acting life began.
Ulucyan played in more than 300 Turkish films and TV series, and was loved by the audience as a witty and intellectual actor.
