Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan on Wednesday received the newly appointed ambassador of France to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies, the Armenia government informs.
Grigoryan lauded the level of Armenia’s political relations with France, emphasizing also the joint efforts towards the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Subsequently, the Armenian deputy PM briefed the French diplomat on the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's ongoing illegal blocking of the Lachin corridor. In this context, the interlocutors stressed the need for resolving this issue as quickly as possible.
Reference was made also to the possibilities and perspectives of Armenian-French cooperation in trade development, investments, infrastructure development, and some other domains of mutual interest.
