Armenian finance minister Vahe Hovhannisyan on Monday received the delegation led by Jurgen Rigterink, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) First Vice President and Head of Client Services Group.

The minister noted that collaboration with the EBRD is of key importance to Armenia, the Ministry of Finance informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. He stressed in particular the important role of the EBRD in the modernization of Armenia's infrastructure. Also, the minister emphasized the matters related to the implementation of existing programs, and stressed the need for their timely and proper implementation.

The EBRD First Vice President also reflected on the current programs, and agreed with the need to implement them within the specified timeframes.

In addition, the parties discussed the EBRD annual meeting to be held in Yerevan next year, and emphasized the need for proper preparation for this event. Minister Hovhannisyan noted that the Armenian side will make every effort to host this unprecedented event at a high level.

Both sides expressed willingness to join efforts to achieve the desired results in all domains of collaboration.
