A meeting of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Council, presided over by NA speaker Alen Simonyan, was held Friday, the NA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The draft agendas of the sixth session of the eighth convocation of the NA and the regular sittings to be convened on September 11 were debated on and approved. The sequence of the debate of the agenda items of the regular sittings to be convened on September 11 was also set by the Council decision.

A total of 54 matters were put on the draft agenda of the sixth session of the eighth convocation of the NA, and 48 matters—on the draft agenda of the regular sittings to be convened on September 11.

Also, addenda were made to the decision of July 11, 2017 of the NA Council, and amendments—in the October 25 decision.

The NA Council debated on the matter on Appointing Member of the Competitive Council Formed to Elect Candidates for the Position of Members of the Corruption Prevention Commission. The NA majority Civil Contract Faction nominated Arusyak Julhakyan’s candidacy, whereas the NA opposition Armenia Faction—Tadevos Avetisyan’s candidacy. As a result of voting, Julhakyan was appointed Member of the Competitive Council Formed to Elect Candidates for the Position of Members of the Corruption Prevention Commission.
