YEREVAN.- The process of Armenia’s convergence with the EU goes on quickly and efficiently, France’s Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud told journalist on Monday.

According to him, Armenia is seen as a member of the club which is making quick steps towards the EU. Armenia confirms the commitment to European values, certain work has been done within the framework of the “Eastern Partnership” in terms of visa facilitation and creation of free trade zone. Armenia is trying to fulfill its commitments. To achieve greater success a number of Armenian agencies are getting consultative support of the EU experts, Reynaud added.

Speaking of the Armenian-French relations, the Ambassador recalled that France is the second country in terms of investments in Armenia. Among the French companies in Armenia are Credit Agricole Bank (ACBA), Orange, national carrier Armavia is expanding cooperation with Air France.

Henri Reynaud also said that during his recent visit to France President Serzh Sargsyan met with representatives of the Movement of the French Enterprises (MEDEF) and discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation.
