WASHINGTON. – Airplane flying from New York to Los-Angeles had to land because of a fight instigated by one of the passengers. The identity of the passenger is revealed. He is Long Island resident of Armenian nationality Varuzhan Hojamiryan, Associated Press reports.
The incident took place last week. Hojamiryan, being drunk, instigated fight in the cabin of the jet. He hit and threatened the stewardess who tried to calm him down. The personnel had to make a forced landing in the airport of Denver, where Hojamiryan was arrested.
Hojamiryan may face 20 years of imprisonment and fine amounting to $25,000. Besides, despite Hojamiryan swore in English on the plane, he claimed for a Russian translator during the interrogation.
