YEREVAN – Until relations between Armenian ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) are clarified, the ruling elite is discussing those developments that could come about should PAP leave the coalition, 168 Zham daily writes.  

“According to one of the most likely hypotheses, PAP’s leaving the coalition would be followed by the dismissal of several senior officials. According to this scenario being discussed behind the scenes of the government, specifically [Parliament Speaker] Hovik Abrahamyan would firstly ‘resign,’ Regional Governance Minister Armen Gevorgyan would either be dismissed or relieved of his duties as per his letter of resignation, as well as [capital] Yerevan’s mayor Karen Karapetyan, who will be transferred to other work, in all probability in Russia,” 168 Zham daily writes.
