YEREVAN. – A meeting was held on Thursday between the management of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and the latter’s 158 employees who had submitted their resignations. At the end, the Plant’s Chief Engineer Movses Vardanyan began threatening the resignation submitters, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes. 

“The Plant’s General Director Gagik Markosyan likewise attended the meeting. He tried to convince the employees to change their view and continue working without a pay raise. When it became apparent that the resignation submitters demanding a pay raise were not changing their view, the chief engineer threatened them [by saying] that if they do not withdraw their resignation, their relatives likewise will be fired. But all the same, the resignation submitters decided not to back away from their demands. It is assumed that today [Friday] they will hand in their [special] passes and cease being a Plant employee,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
