YEREVAN. – Session of the  Inter-Administrative Committee on Developing a National Plan to Combat Terrorism in Armenia was held on Friday. During the session, which was chaired by National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan, the participants discussed the draft of this plan. 

“Terrorism has so far bypassed our country, but we must juridically and institutionally be ready for more joint and collective action in fight against terrorism, and especially [against] cyber terrorism. (…) Approval of this document is conditioned on Armenia’s commitments assumed before three international organizations. They are the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization), European Union, and NATO,” Arthur Baghdasaryan stated during the session, NSC Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.     

Subsequently,  deputy director Romik Harutyunyan of Armenian National Security Services introduced to the Inter-Administrative Committee the draft National Plan to Combat Terrorism in Armenia.

The Committee approved the draft, which will later be introduced for discussion at NSC.
