YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian on Friday received an Italian Senate delegation comprising the Senate’s EU Political Affairs Committee members Rosanna Boldi and Cristiano de Eccher, and Chair of Armenia-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group, Albertina Soliani.
Nalbandian noted that friendly Armenian-Italian ties are traditional and Armenia is interested in developing bilateral and multilateral collaboration with Italy, and stressed the parliamentary format’s importance for developing cooperation between both states, MFA Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In their turn, the Italian senators noted they arrived in Armenia to stimulate cooperation with the National Assembly, to discuss the current state of—and the prospects for—Armenia-EU relations, and to familiarize with Armenia’s reforms, and they assured of their continuing contribution to deepening friendly relations between Armenia and Italy.
The interlocutors also discussed further strengthening of Armenian-Italian relations, Armenia-EU cooperation, and resolution of regional issues.
