YEREVAN. – An international seminar, entitled “Forms of Recollection: Newest Technologies for Preservation and Restoration of Manuscript and Print Heritage,” is underway in Armenian capital Yerevan’s Matenadaran (Armenian ancient manuscript museum).

The event, which is devoted to 500th anniversary of Armenian book publishing, has brought together leading specialists from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Western Europe.

In the words of event moderator Ara Khzmalyan—Head of the Matenadaran’s Department on Preservation, Scientific Development, and  Digitizing of Archival Documents—the seminar agenda also includes a cultural program. “We intend to present to our guests an exhibition of the Matenadaran’s collections,” Khzmalyan noted.
