MOSCOW. – Russia continues discussions on the project on nuclear energy with Armenia, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev said at a joint conference with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am reports.

During Medvedev’s state visit to Armenia last year, a mutual agreement was signed on cooperation for the reconstruction of a new Nuclear Power Plant block. The new block is planned to be exploited by 2017.

Russian president stated that Russian investments in Armenia reached to about $3 billion. However, Medvedev believes that the investments have a potential to increase. Russian companies provide Armenia natural gas and work actively in energetic sphere. Russia also deals with infrastructure sphere in Armenia regarding railway transportation, Medvedev stated.
