YEREVAN. – Armenia’s political elite consider any contact with Russian official circles to be a great success, which could foretell their role in domestic political processes, Hraparak daily writes.

“[Armenian PM] Tigran Sargsyan met with RF (Russian Federation) PM Vladimir Putin, in Saint Petersburg on October 18, during which RF PM lavished a few warm words about Armenia and recorded that ‘new arrangements are reached for the future.’ Sargsyan’s challenge is to maintain the prime ministerial office after the parliamentary elections, and it is possible this arrangement refers to that,” Hraparak writes.
