YEREVAN. – In recent times, the ruling coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), just like religious minorities, has begun preaching by visiting people’s homes, Zhoghovurd daily writes.      

“Specifically on Saturday and Sunday, such visits were made to the buildings in [capital Yerevan’s] Charents Street. The PAP members, who visited the home of a citizen with a proposal to become a PAP member, noted they especially wish to see the youth among their ranks. Furthermore, while ‘convincing,’ the PAP campaigners also spoke about the people’s dire economic condition in Armenia. The paper asked PAP Chairman’s spokesperson Khachik Galstyan to provide clarifications on the campaigning which was carried yesterday in [Yerevan’s] Arabkir Administrative Region. Galstyan, however, said there was no such thing. Instead we received a call, this time from the residents of Charents Street,” Zhoghovurd writes.
