TBILISI. – Georgian analysts are skeptical concerning Georgia’s integration to NATO, Pirveli news agency of Georgia reported.  

According to the agency, even though the analysts underscore the visit to Georgia by James Appathurai, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, and his statement that the decision of the Bucharest Summit is in force and that Georgia will definitely become a NATO member, they do not believe in such declarations.  

“What is important at this phase is for our relations to become more intensive with NATO. We understand that now is not a good political period for us to be accepted to the alliance, but the important thing is to maintain dynamic relations,” Georgian analyst Gia Nodia stated. 

During NATO’s Bucharest Summit in April 2008, it was announced that Ukraine and Georgia would become members of the alliance.
