The November 4 incident on the Armenian-Georgian border was a result of engineering works on demarcation, the head of RA National Security Service (NSS) press service Artsvin Baghramyan told NEWS.am.
“Presently engineering works on demarcation are conducted, it was just a matter of measurement,” said Baghramyan, adding that such cases usually occur in the course of demarcation.
Referring to the presence of Georgian army as well as chiefs of frontier services of both countries at the site, Baghramyan stated that the information is unlikely to be true.
As Hayk daily has reported today, the situation strained after Armenian side tried to place frontier markers and faced resistance of Georgians.
