YEREVAN.- Armenian experts link ongoing reshuffle to the start of election campaign.

Sergey Minasyan, Deputy Head of Yerevan-based Caucasus Institute, considers that all the dismissals are related to start of election campaign.

“I believe that neither ruling Republican Party, nor authorities hide the real goals of reshuffle,” he told journalists on Wednesday.

According to him, several dismissals of officials will occur in the near future as well.

“As far as I know none of the officials was sacked due to serious problems,” he added.

Chief of Armenian police Alik Sargsyan handed in resignation on Tuesday, the same decision was made by Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan.
