YEREVAN. – Japanese Parliament Deputy Speaker Seishiro Eto on Wednesday received Hrant Poghosyan, adviser of Armenia’s Embassy in Japan, and discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation between legislative bodies of the two countries.  

The interlocutors underscored the need to make the contacts between political circles of both countries become more active. They also paid a particular attention to organization of the events, to be held in 2012, marking 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan, MFA Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Seishiro Eto assured that Japan’s political circles highly assess their country’s relations with Armenia, and that they accepted, with gratitude, the Armenian government’s and people’s assistance rendered after the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March.
