YEREVAN. – Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan on Wednesday received Belarusian Deputy FM, Igor Petrishenko. Sargsyan underscored the need for Armenia to further develop and strengthen ties with friendly and brotherly Belarus, and to carry out new joint projects.  

In his turn, Igor Petrishenko conveyed Belarusian PM Mikhail Myasnikovich’s warm greetings to Tigran Sargsyan, and subsequently presented the course of bilateral projects and the future processes. 

The interlocutors noted that the current level of Armenian-Belarusian trade turnover and joint projects do not correspond to the potential exiting between both countries. And against this background, the Belarusian Deputy FM informed that an Armenian-Belarusian Inter-Governmental Committee session is scheduled for the first half of next year, during which a business forum will also be held.    

Igor Petrishenko assured their readiness to secure favorable conditions for Armenian businessmen, so the latter may invest in Belarus.

They also examined further cooperation in other domains.
