YEREVAN. – Armen Moghrovyan, who died suddenly in Nagorno-Karabakh on October 29, was in good health, Armenia’s Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan stated during a briefing with news reporters on Thursday.

“He was in healthy condition at the time, he died suddenly. What can we do? He had undergone a minor surgery, while in the army, after which he was absolutely healthy,” the Minister noted.

In response to a journalist’s question as to whether his death shows that unhealthy soldiers are recruited, Seyran Ohanyan said: “There is the Republican Medical Committee, our military servicemen go through a three-level medical examination.”

The body of Armen Moghrovyan, 19, was found in the area of a military unit at Karabakh’s Hadrut region. As per Armenian MOD’s official premise, the soldier had died suddenly. And as maintained by MOD News Service, no traces of violence were found on the soldier’s body.
