GLENDALE. - A reputed gang member of Armenian origin was charged with felony vandalism after he had spray-painted graffiti on the Pioneer Drive and Patterson Avenue tunnel, Glendale News-Press informs.

23-year-old Narbe Ohanessian from Glendale must appear in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Burbank city on November 9 for a preliminary hearing on the vandalism offense.

Ohanessian who is suspected in connection with the South-East Los Angeles gang was arrested on Friday after witnesses told that they had heard sounds from a spray can in the tunnel.

The police found graffiti and symbols representing the Los Angeles gang. They also saw Ohanessian and another person walking in that area. They approached Ohanessian and noticed that he had got white paint on his fingertips.

The police officers checked Ohanessian’s cell phone and found photographs of the graffiti that had been drawn in the tunnel.

Ohanessian denied having painted the graffiti and claimed that he saw the graffiti touched it and got paint on his fingers.
