YEREVAN. - Armenia’s 2012 Draft State Budget envisions an allocation of 3.9 billion drams (US$ 10,288,060) for agriculture, and this surpasses 2011 allocations by 11.8 percent, First Deputy Minister of Finance, Pavel Safaryan, on Friday stated during a joint session of the National Assembly’s standing committees.    

As per Safaryan, agriculture will be funded solely from current expenditures, and capital expenditures will not be funded.  

And in the words of Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan, some agricultural programs will be in the form of assistance to farms.
