YEREVAN. – Following Vladimir (Vova) Gasparyan’s appointment as Armenia’s Police Chief, Khachik Grigoryan, Deputy Commander of Police Force’s 6th General Department of Special Detachment Against Organized Crime, submitted his resignation, Zhoghovurd daily writes.

“They say, deputy commander of the ‘Special Detachment’ handed his resignation because of his previous differences with Vova Gasparyan. Police Force News Department confirmed the news of Grigoryan’s leaving. This means the police are aware of the kind of drastic measures Vladimir Gasparyan could resort to, and that is why they are slowly leaving,” Zhoghovurd writes.
