YEREVAN. - Armenian and Japanese rescuers held their first live television conference, on Monday. The discussion was held at Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) Crisis Management Center.

The television conference aimed to examine the directions for cooperation, between MES and Japan’s International Development Agency and Fire Department, specifically with respect to training Armenian specialists in Japan and constructing a training ground in Armenia, MES Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.       

Regional coordinator Yukihiko Ejiri of Japan’s International Development Agency had arrived in capital Yerevan to attend the television conference. Prior to the event, Ejiri met with Minister of Emergency Situations, Armen Yeritsyan.

And during the nearly 1.5-hour television conference, the Japanese presented their know-how in training specialists, whereas MES Rescue Service representatives, their expectations and needs.
