YEREVAN. – Annual meeting of the Armenian Jewelers’ Association (AJA) was held in Paris, on November 5. The event brought together AJA Chairman Gagik Gevorgyan, chairman of the Association’s European branch,  Hovel Shnorokian, Armenian jewelers and goldsmiths from different countries, and representatives of the French-Armenian community. The meeting aimed to present AJA’s past and present activities plus its future plans.

Ambassador Vigen Chitechyan also addressed the meeting and underscored that Armenia’s President and Government place a huge importance to developing jewelry in Armenia, and that they have taken practical steps toward making this domain develop dynamically. The Ambassador also appreciated AJA’s engagement and assistance in this process, MFA Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.             

The Armenian Jewelers’ Association was founded in 1995, with an aim to unite Armenian jewelers and goldsmiths throughout the world. AJA currently has more than thirty members from different countries.
