YEREVAN. – Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan on Wednesday received Japan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Takehito Harada, and congratulated him on his appointment.
Sargsyan also thanked the Japanese government for its assistance rendered to Armenia in different domains, Government Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The interlocutors recorded that Armenian-Japanese relations have a huge development potential and that they are progressing dynamically in recent years. They also stressed that there are no unresolved issues between the two countries.
Tigran Sargsyan underscored the mutual visits by the businessmen of both states, and noted the need to pay close attention to information exchange on business opportunities. The PM also highlighted that Armenia is prepared to make active efforts toward expanding and strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Japan.
In his turn, Ambassador Takehito Harada assured of his readiness to carry out corresponding activities toward expanding Armenian-Japanese relations.
They also reflected on cooperation in seismic safety, combating natural disasters, energy, and in other domains.
