YEREVAN.- President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended on Wednesday the opening ceremony of the monument to famous scientist, public activist and humanist Frityoff Nansen.

The ceremony is a part of series of events dedicated to Nansen’s 150th birthday anniversary.

Opening of the monument was attended by Norway’s Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Nansen’s grand-daughter Marit Greve, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

President Sargsyan handed Marit Greve a special residency passport expressing gratitude on behalf of Armenian people for his assistance and activities.
