YEREVAN. - Armenia’s newly appointed Police Chief, Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan, continues the reshuffles and dismissals within the country’s law enforcement system.
With Gasparyan’s order on Wednesday, Police Colonel Suren Sarukhanyan is relieved of his duties as Head of Police Chief’s Staff and is registered in the personnel reserve, Police Force Public Relations and News Department informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Also, Police Colonel Aram Ter-Tovmasyan is dismissed from his capacity as Head of Shirak Regional Department and likewise is registered in the personnel reserve; he is replaced by Karen Babakekhyan, who is relieved of his duties as First Deputy Commander of Police Force’s 6th General Department of Special Detachment Against Organized Crime (GD SDOC).
In addition, 4th GD SDOC Commander, Police Colonel Nazaret Mnatsakanyan is also dismissed and sent to personnel reserve; he is replaced by Police Major Levon Khachatryan.
