YEREVAN. - Political situation in Armenia is pretty much normal, said MP from Prosperous Armenia party Vardan Bostanjyan to a press conference on Thursday.

"Naturally, we are approaching parliamentary elections and political forces begin to work more intensively, which may leave an impression of tension. The activity of political parties is not related to any extraordinary event. All political forces try to attract a bigger electorate before the election. In conditions of fair play Prosperous Armenia Party will gain a larger electorate support,” said the MP.  

Asked if Prosperous Armenia could gain a larger electorate than the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Bostanjyan said that he does not want to draw parallels with any other party.

"As a rule parties strengthen their positions if they need it. This is not the case with Prosperous Armenia,” Bostanjyan said.
