YEREVAN. – The name of Arman Mkrtumyan, Chief Judge of Armenia’s Court of Appeals, is included in the “advertised dismissals’” list of the authorities, and he will become one of President Serzh Sargsyan’s next scapegoats, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.

“The governmental propaganda will present this dismissal within the framework of the imitation of combating against corruption and, to develop this, the power circuits, including Armenia’s Human Right Defender, Karen Andreasyan, are instructed to get into a conflict with Mkrtumyan. In this case, Serzh Sargsyan would have a substantiated reason to demand his letter of resignation,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes, adding that Mkrtumyan had heard of this imminent danger, and that is why he does not respond to the criticisms, and even personal insults, that are made against him.
