YEREVAN. – Not all cases of medicinal poisoning are caused by expired or falsified pills. It is more likely that medicinal poisonings were suicide attempts, head of the Armenian Medicine Producers and Importers Union Samvel Zakaryan told the journalists on Friday.

“When someone takes 60 pills to commit a suicide because of unreturned love, all claim it was a medicinal poisoning,” Zakaryan said.

He also added that their union together with pharmacies and hospitals holds a monitoring to reveal reasons of suicide cases,  as well as false and expired pills.
