YEREVAN. - Armenia exported 1.4 billion kW/h of electricity during the first 9 months of 2011, which is two times more than during the whole 2010, Armenia’s State Revenue Committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
For the first time electricity export revenue is on third place in Armenia’s exporting system with $86 million. For a comparison in 2010 that amount was $20.7 million.
During the first 9 months of 2011 5.5 billion kW/h of electricity was produced in Armenia and every fourth kW/h was exported.
Although the given statistic does not show were exactly the electricity was exported, it is probably Iran.
