YEREVAN. - Nagorno-Karabakh issue is not a subject for bargain between Russia and Azerbaijan, on Monday Andrey Areshev of Institute of Political and Social Studies of the Black Sea and Caspian Region said to a press conference in Yerevan.
“The reality and the events around Karabakh conflict suggest that this is an absolute delusion. Karabakh conflict is a subject of interactions between Russia, the U.S. and France. There are also regional contours of the issue - Turkey and Iran," said Areshev.
According to the expert, given the complex system, where Karabakh issue is used to penetrate the Southern Caucasus or to address certain issues in the region, direct agreements and promises will not work.
"Karabakh, irrespective of the positions towards it, irrespective of nonrecognition, is a de-facto subject of international politics. OSCE Minsk Group representatives have un acute knowledge of this, even if they do not mention it,” he stressed.
