YEREVAN. – Last year’s pre-New Year “egg tension” will not repeat this year, Armenian Deputy Agriculture Minister Grisha Baghiyan stated during a pres conference on Tuesday.

“We have worked with the poultry farms, and everything is normal,” Baghiyan noted. 

He also informed that egg production increased in Armenia, after September, adding the production will reach former capacity by the year’s end. 

To note, egg prices in Armenia had reached record highs, in late December 2010, as one egg was sold for up to 140 drams (36 cents).
