YEREVAN.- Armenia’s 2012 budget is socially-oriented, said MP from ruling Republican Party Eduard Sharmazanov.

“Not a single social program envisaged in 2012 draft budget has been reduced. We realize that current expenditures are not sufficient to reach solution to the social problems fully, but we will spare no efforts to tackle them,” he said speaking in the parliament on Tuesday.

“Armenian President said economic development of the country is a matter of national security. We are trying to create all necessary conditions,” Sharmazanov said adding that last year Armenia became almost the only country which improved indicators for freedom of doing business.

Nevertheless, the leadership intends to seek methods to improve conditions for the private sector, he added.
