YEREVAN. – There is snowfall in Armenia’s Shirak Region, since early Wednesday morning, and this poses difficulties for the drivers and the pedestrians alike. 

Snow is again falling on already-icy roads, and this is causing hidden ice.

The inter-community roads and the Yerevan-Gyumri Highway were difficult to pass, in the morning hours, but the situation improved at noon, Gyumri Bus Terminal representatives informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

And Shirak Regional Rescue Service Department did not receive any distress calls, until the afternoon. In the words of Deputy Head of Department, Karen Yeghshatyan, all roads inside and those leaving from Shirak Region are open, but they are difficult to pass in some areas. “There is hidden ice in the city’s roads and in some sections of community and national highways,” he noted
