YEREVAN. - Democratic Party of Armenia will determine the format of participation in elections next February, said party’s leader Aram Sargsyan at a press conference on Wednesday.

Commenting on the general situation in the country, Sargsyan said that the current developments are conditioned by lack of a concrete strategy of the development program. He stressed that if the authorities began implementation of the program 3 years ago (after previous elections), we would feel certain results even today.

According to the politician, with elections approaching the competition will get tougher: extra-parliamentary powers will join the fight of coalition members.

The upcoming elections can at best meet the requirements of the law but never be fair, said Sargsyan, adding that pre-election campaigns of the authorities would use the sums that never reached the treasury.
