YEREVAN.- If the investigation confirms the incident with Syunik Governor occurred, legal and political consequences will follow, said Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan.

Asked about the incident, Tovmasyan said it is being investigated.

“Personally I do not approve his conduct but it is too early to make any statements as the proceedings are underway,” he added.

Earlier Armenian businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan filed the lawsuit as a result of being beaten by Khachatryan at Armenia-Marriot hotel on Monday.
