YEREVAN. – By the analogy of US Federal Reserves, the European Central Bank would hardly make financial injections in the near future, analyst Mikayel Verdyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. But in his view, such step could be examined if the Italian state debt problem surpasses the financial capabilities of the European Financial Stability Facility.

“It inspires optimism that, in contrast with Greece and Portugal, the economy of Italy does not have serious budget deficits, and it can repay the national debt. We are convinced that, despite being at the center of attention, the Italian issue would not cause as much concern, by the first quarter of 2012, as it was in the case of Greece,” Mikayel Verdyan concluded.
