YEREVAN. – The fact that the Minister can afford playing computer game during a Parliament session, is based on the absence of the Speaker, said head of the oppositional parliamentary Heritage group, MP Stepan Safaryan.

at a press conference on Thursday, in response to what his approach is towards the fact that Minister of Energy played a computer game at the Parliament.

“The fact is based on the absence of the Speaker. Despite of our disputes and discussions with the former Speaker, his presence made the MPs be present at sessions, or government members to answer the questions at the Parliament sessions,” Safaryan told journalists on Thursday adding that the resigned Speaker never hindered the work of parliament.

“Being sure that the budget discussions will pass without any interference and even the future Speaker cannot hinder debates over the draft budget, the government members behave in this way,” Safaryan added.

In response to the question whether there is need to dismiss the Minister for playing computer games Safaryan said that the game cannot be a serious reason for the dismissal. However, there are serious reasons indeed. Otherwise it can be assumed that one should not play games but may run the state badly, MP concluded.
