YEREVAN.- No matter wrong or right an official should not settle problems by beating someone, Armenian MP Naira Zohrabyan told journalists commenting on the recent incident with Syunik Governor.

Governor of Armenia’s Syunik Region Suren Khachatryan reportedly beat businesswoman Silva Hambartsumyan, as a result criminal case was instigated.

“Personally I condemn such conduct. Nevertheless, Armenian Premier said the investigation is underway and it is wrong to voice any assessments before it is over,” said MP from Prosperous Armenia Party.

Armenia’s Special Investigation Service instigated a criminal case against Armenia’s Syunik Region Governor Suren Khachatryan. Armenian businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan has filed the lawsuit as a result of being beaten by Khachatryan at Armenia-Marriot hotel on Monday.
