YEREVAN.- Mechanisms preventing illegal and irregular migration from Armenia to several European countries are developed.

Twelve EU member states and Armenia signed a political declaration on mobility partnership in October, head of Armenian migration service Gagik Yeghanyan told journalists on Monday.

The document provides legal basis for cooperation ensuring creation of instruments which will suppose circular migration. Such migration provides the right of multiple entries.

“After getting visa to Europe many people are struggling to remain there, fearing that they will not get visa for the second visit. The circular makes it easier, and allows you to easily study and work abroad, with the right of the repeated visits to European countries.

It also gives an opportunity for Armenian citizens residing abroad to set up business in Armenia without fear of losing their residence in European countries. I hope it will yield positive results,” Yeghanyan said.

According to him, creation of circular migration will prevent the illegal one.
