U.S. federal judge on Monday gave two weeks to attorneys arguing over differences in accounting at multi-million compensation fund to descendants of Armenian Genocide victims to come to terms or face an extensive court ordered audit, report Glendale News-Press.

U.S. District Court Judge Christina Snyder ordered attorneys Mark Geragos and Roman Silberfeld to come to the hearing on December 5 with updated information on the problem of discrepancies in accounting in the compensation fund, created several years ago by «Axa SA» insurance company for paying to descendants of Armenian Genocide victims.

Attorneys on both sides and their staff are studying 94 applications that initially seemed problematic out of 1000 filed by the fund administrator. 

The petition, Silberfeld filed to the court on Friday, says that each claim was underpaid because multiplier used to determine the amounts to be paid had an error of 0.1%.

In some cases, separate but identical claims filed by brothers and sisters have been rejected, while others have been approved.
