ANKARA. – Turkish law enforcers have run mass arrests of Kurdish activists throughout the state on suspicion of having connection to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)

More than 65 members of Union of communities in Kurdistan were arrested in Diyarbakir, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa and Ankara, Turkish TRT TV channel informs.

Most part of the activists (about 30 people) was arrested in Diyarbakir, where Kurds form an ethnic majority. There are also high ranking officials of Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) among the arrested, Reuters reports.

Turkey held mass arrests of Kurdish activists in early October as well.
