YEREVAN. – A delegation from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), led by its Deputy Secretary General, Valery Semerikov, arrived in Armenia. The delegation’s objective is to discuss and clarify, with the country’s several ministries and departments, the preparations for the CSTO military exercises to be held in Armenia next year.  

The CSTO delegation paid a visit to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), on Tuesday, during which the parties discussed the organizational issues for these military exercises. The Organization’s Deputy Secretary General noted they will also examine, in the coming year, the possibility for holding a joint training with MES, the latter’s Press Service informed.

The guests also visited MES Crisis Management Center. Valery Semerikov noted it would be very good if the Center were to be included in the aforesaid military exercises.
