MOSCOW. - Russian deputy FM Grigory Karasin and EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort talked on the phone about the situation in the South Caucasus.

EU Special representative informed results of co-chairs of the Geneva discussions to Abkhazia, Georgia and South Ossetia, press service of Russian FM reports.

Lefort also touched upon the recent visit of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.

The sides discussed several issues for the preparation of the next round of the Geneva discussions scheduled for December 14 this year.
