Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian arrived in Denmark on an official visit to attend the opening of the Armenian embassy in Copenhagen.

Danish Minister on European Affairs Nicolai Wammen, diplomats, ambassadors and representatives of the Armenian community were present at the ceremony, foreign ministry’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Addressing the participants, Nalbandian touched upon historical relations between the two states, pointing out good attitude of Danish missioners to the Armenian Genocide survivors, Denmark’s assistance after the 1988 earthquake.

Minister Nalbandian expressed confidence that the embassy in Denmark will make a significant contribution to development of relations between two states.

In his turn Nicolai Wammen gave appraisal of Armenia’s decision to establish embassy in Denmark, expressing hope that relations between the states will develop due to joint efforts of the sides.
