At Occupied Wall St. I was wearing a T-shirt I made. Printed on my T-shirt was Eastern Turkey is Occupied Western Armenia. A man came up to me and asked.

“Does your T-shirt have anything to do with movement?”

So I decided camp on Occupied Wall St. and set up an Armenian Information Table. I made leaflets and a poster about US war machine corporations like Goodrich, Chevron, Raytheon, Exxon, United Technologies and Northrop Grumman spending more than $7 billion on sales to Turkey, they also spend millions of dollars on the lobbing of US congressmen so that they will not pass a bill recognizing the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

OWS was a great place for PR. The Armenian table and the leaflets were photographed by several hundred people and they were posted on Facebook and Twitter. I gave interviews to TV and radio reporters from all over the world. I also talked to people who wanted to know more about the Genocide.

In my leaflets and speeches I mentioned that Armenia is an indigenous nation and the corporations violated the rights of indigenous nations in the whole world.

A Turkish man camped at the park holding posters that said ‘Hang Turkish dictators’ and ‘Burn the Turkish flag’. He was angry because he was denied his pension and was persecuted for protesting. When I asked whether he acknowledged the Armenian Genocide he said, yes, but that he would not add it to his list of Turkish injustices.
