An Su-25 fighter aircraft crashed in Georgia during planned exercises, and its pilot, Kakhaber Zurabishvili, was killed, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Georgia informed.

A thorough investigation will be conducted to determine the cause.

Initially, Info Rustavi news portal had informed about the crash of a military helicopter in Bolnisi city of Kvemo Kartli region, and the death of its pilot.

The MoD of Georgia did not specify the place where the Su-25 crashed, but presumably it is about the same incident.
