YEREVAN. – After leaving his post, Armenian National Assembly’s (NA) former Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan has left Acting Speaker Samvel Nikoyan “penniless,” Hraparak daily writes.  

“Because of his resignation, he [Abrahamyan] had given NA staff members ‘bonus pays’ in the amount of their one-month salary, and he also paid off the debt owed to the architects ever since the remodeling of NA [sessions’] hall. And now, according to our information, the NA piggy bank is empty.    

So, NA might not hold its New Year banquet. Non-businessman MPs used to receive New Year ‘bonus pays,’ too. And in fact, there is no money for this either,” Hraparak writes.
